2023 seems to of been a sucky year. Yes, blessed in many ways but the year started with the death of a dear man who always treated me like a daughter. To ending with no more then 4 deaths, one being the last mother firgure in my life.

Sick these last two months, just seemed to drain me.

2024- just start over most say.

Me? Let's continue the game of life.

Yet another year.

Hopefully a kinder one.

Blessed to have family, friends, online friends. My health.

Seems up to 4 members now are having issues logging into the site. I myself am one. The only way I'm able is by using the data on my phone. Meaning my home internet will not log in.

I have been in contact with Cancer. On Christmas Eve no less. :) He has spent hours trying to help me, as has FalsexCure and CursedtoDarkness.

It seems to he a certificate issues, my internet provider not updating the newest for this site. While of the 4 so far that has had issues, I do know CursedtoDarkness was able to help one member.

My suggestion? Send in a Help Question. That was maybe Admind who can help, can. I am still limited to only phone use, which is not going to allow me to be any use.

So if you are having a problem- try phone with data only. Or ask someone you know on the site to contact, use the Request Help.

:) I understand the frustration, trust me. Poor False, Curse and Cancer all tried to help get me back online. But coming off being ill for two weeks, friend in hospital, one having heart attack, and an associate passing on Friday..... I really just not in the mind space to deal with calling, fighting with cable company.

I'm here, just limited. And expect spelling errors from hell. lol

Hope to get it fixed soon. But right now I have family to see to, my brother dentist apt. And his meetings that was put off. Maybe next year I will have the time, energy to give this issue my attention.

I am one of those members and I think everyone that has gone out of their way to try to help me. It is rather frustrating because I'm not very good with my phone and am limited as to what I can do on the site with it but I understand that everything is being done to correct the problem. Maybe after the holidays I will call my internet provider and tried to see what I can do to fix it. Until then I'm here in spirit if nothing else

Yes. While nothing admins can do, they can explain the issue. Maybe then the member can move forward to getting issue fixed. If computer knowledge- might even be able to get settings to refresh certificate.

I'll just call my provider at some point.

Seems the cold is starting to leave me. Not at 100% but closeto 80% I would say. I'll take it.

Plan on longer journal but as I'm limited to phone keyboard you get just short update. Birds, Element as known on site, has gall badder sugery yesterday. Wasn't planned.

Another death in the loose circle of friends. Heart attack of one. All in the last 3 days.

Ten days with temperature. 3 meds tried.

2 shots today, drunk steriods.

Chest XRay. Blood cultures, blood work taken.

All because it's not reacting to meds.

Question what has my lungs cracking, and why temperature will not break.

So .... that's my holiday season.

On a totally different subject- did you know 14,000 gallons of drinking water was consumed each day on the Titanic? Until the end...it consumed a lot more water ... *giggles* A funny, I made.

And the peacock mantis shrimp can throw a punch at 50 MPH. Now I have to look up what a
peacock mantis shrimp looks like. ** Edit- is not a Rocky looking shrimp with boxing gloves. It's a beautiful colorful shrimp.

I put out my 5ft inflatable snowman yesterday evening. I had bought a large one of a family of three but the blower was messed up so this smaller one was to replace it. Now we have security cameras all about the property, and our homes. For two reasons really- the way the world is today. And because we can use them to check on each other. As I live alone and my sister/ brother are disabled, it give us all piece of mind.

As I lifted my phone to take a photo I see sis had text. The cameras on my porch had given her a birds eye view of my work. " It's short and round like you". Excuse me????

The same camera recorded me walking over to the snowman, using my hand to show how I was at least 3 inches taller. And 3 inches means a lot - ask any woman. Or men. ;) I do not dispute the round part.

After showing I was taller, I looked at the camera, said Fuck You as I flip her off. The recording has her using the mic, laughing as I walked away to go inside my home.

Ahhhh....a treasured Christmas video to keep. 😀
